Fidget Cube is a small vinyl desk toy with six tactile faces: a clicker, a toggle switch, three spinning gears, a rolling ball, a joystick and a worry-stone surface, plus a silent side for discreet use. It gives restless hands a purposeful outlet and reframes fidgeting as a focus tool rather than a distraction - quiet enough for classrooms and meetings.
Brothers Matthew and Mark McLachlan run a two-person design studio, Antsy Labs, and originally just wanted a small community to fund a modest production run. They asked Kickstarter for $15,000 in August 2016 and finished with $6,465,690 from 154,926 backers - 43,105% of goal and one of the platform's ten most-funded projects ever. When demand overwhelmed their Chinese manufacturer, they kept backer trust with transparent updates and later licensed mass production to ZURU for retail.
